Uppuveli beach- Trincomalee

Uppuveli is located in trincomalee district eastern province of sri lanka.

In uppuveli there is a very nice and calm beach for families with small children and friends to enjoy their vacation. Not crowded and No disturbance from sellers like other beaches. The beach is stunning and not spoilt by being over commercialized.

A lovely working beach with very friendly fisherman who work very hard around tourists. Many hotels and guest houses are located with direct access to the beach. This is a clean beach with clear water and no rubbish like floating plastic. Uppuveli is a great location far enough from the town to feel sheltered and private, there are some good beach bars/ restaurants on the beach on down the nearby laneways.

Best place to swim and you can dive very close to this beach also during the season there will be more Diving centers and snorkeling tours.

Wonderful and Perfect beach to relax, swim and enjoy alone or with your loved once. When you walk along the beach you can watch the fishermen bringing the nets for fishing. This is most beautiful with the sun rise and sun set. During noon time this will be very hot place so advised to visit after 3.30p.m.

No need to worry about the safe, as there are no dangerous waves or sharks. Life guards are there who do their duty well.

This area is full of beautiful birds, different varieties of Kingfisher, and sea eagles are here. The fishing boats leave here on the incoming tide each day.
