The tallest mountain Piduruthalagala or mount Pedro lies at the Central Province of Sri Lanka, with an elevation of 2.5km. The mountain range is located at a distance of 10km north to the Nuwara Eliya town.
The name Pidurutalagala can be described as the rock loaded with straw, as it appears like to be so in dry seasons. The special feature of this mountain is it has a flattened peak filled with grass. The mountain is just not a rock but it is home for many species of animals, birds and plants. The mountain top act as the main radar system station of Sri Lanka and it results restricted entry to the peak by common people. From the single tree mountain the tourists can enjoy the venue as it is.
The cool climate of the mountain invites more tourists from all over and also to enjoy the scenic view of the mountain everyone visit the mountain.
