Kurunegala District

The district of Kurunegala is positioned with rocky surface, in the North Western Province of Sri Lanka. The district endure some specialities such as consisting of four ancient Kingdoms of Sri Lankan history, consisting of rocky landscape in the shape of elephant and act as a “hub-city”, on the way to Eastern or Central or Southern part of the country from Northern part. Majority residents of the district are Sinhalese and Buddhism exists as their main religion.
