Kandy District

Kandy is the cultural jewel of Sri Lanka and also a UNESCO declared “World heritage site”. The district is in the hilly lands of Central Province of the island. The District served as Kingdom for many years & Kandy is the last Royal Kingdom of Ceylon history. Although all the ethnicity lives on, Sinhalese hold the prominent place while Buddhism exists as main religion of the District. The District of Kandy is home for many tourist destinations. The climate of the district is favourable for tourism and especially for the foreign tourists.
